Aya Akbib (1997) is an illustrator, born in Morocco and based in Brussels. She holds a master’s degree in architecture and a master’s in transition urbanism and regional planning. Her illustrations are based on memories and imaginary scenes. Her work feels deconstructed and architectural. But as a sort of counter-movement, she likes unscaled and free work. It's her escape. The series in BuroMuro were inspired by summer and spring. Mountains, beaches and other objects she likes to play around with. Inspired by her hometown Tangier and her trips to Spain.
