"No CARBS" is a piece I'm keeping in my private collection because I am so in love with it. I like how the flowing brushstrokes reveal that I truly enjoyed creating it—something I sometimes forget after an intense working process. The banal and funny subject makes me laugh, and my favorite detail in the painting is the highlight in the bottom part of the sausage.

About the work
#nocarbs is a popular hashtag used by people who like to show off their carb free lifestyle. Unless you want to lose weight or are intolerant, my one question is: WHY?!

My fascination and frustration with #nocarbs fuelled my four part art installation with the hotdog - an iconic symbol of unhealthy food habits - as the high carb centrepiece.

NO CARBS feeds you irony and confuses you at the same time leaving you hungry for more.
