Gheleyne Bastiaen has been drawing since preschool—once persuading classmates to sit for impromptu portraits and eagerly redesigning their outfits. While her love for illustration never faded, her methods have evolved.
After finishing high school, she studied Visual Design at LUCA School of Arts (formerly Sint-Lucas), with a focus on storyboarding and illustration. Since 2018, Gheleyne has been working as a freelance illustrator, blending narrative, playfulness, and a keen visual style across various media.
On days without pencils or Photoshop, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen—cooking, moonwalking, and belting out questionable covers of 1980s hits.
