Barbara De Wit (1993) creates graphic artwork using a printing press. After completing a five-year study in graphic arts, she now has her own home atelier in Pellenberg, surrounded by greenery and only a few minutes away from the city of Leuven. She creates playful compositions with bright colors and powerful blacks. If you take a closer look, you can also see the different layers made using the press. She alternates between collage prints and more figurative work. These linocuts are based on sketches or funny photos she has made. Most of the originals are pressed onto A3 or A2 paper, which is quite large for a print press.
