Sara Plantefève-Castryck
Sara Plantefève-Castryck is a print designer & textile artist based in Ghent, Belgium. Plantefève-Castryck work investigates the idea of a multi-layered simplicity by experimenting with the use of patterns and color in reference to the audience and architectural spaces. She often works with site-specific installations where she plays with optical illusions and where she encourages the viewer to perceive and move through space in different ways. Her work exists in a space between drawing, sculpture and installation. Next to the creation of spatial installations Plantefève-Castryck collaborated with various design companies transforming her drawings into a range of design objects. Previous collaborations included SlowDownStudio in The United States, KittyBunnyPony in South Korea and the Design Museum in Ghent, Belgium.
